to Bead Fest, Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, about 90 min from my house
be prepared...
no matter how much money you came with
you will go home minus ALL of it and then some
Self Control does NOT exist here !!!!!
*****
On with the show......get there early before it gets too crowded
meet up with friends
The brilliant designer Susan Lenart-Kazmer
Joan and Lisa Kettel
Armando at Amate Studios (and demo artist Rebecca Peck r)
Kecia Frazee Deveney (c) and Leslie Marsh (l)
Visit our friends at Beadalon
and then we....Start Shopping..tote bag in hand
you try to make decisions because there is sooooooooo much to look at
so, it's almost best to walk through the whole show first, make notes and then come back. Two entire floors of beads and supplies.
gold, silver, copper, brass and a thousand and one other colors of everything
It's completely overwhelming
you make some kind-a weird attempt to stay focused ! ha.!
Rub On Patinas
strands and strands of pearls and beads
More chain then you could ever imagine
**Loved this gals stuff...more on that tomorrow....
LOTS-a stuff from Bali and Indonesia
toggles and closures up the wazoo
I'll conclude tomorrow with some of my favorites
because...you know me....I took 205 pictures...they ALL can't go here !!
NO...they just can't !

Oh I must be in Heaven! lol

Thanks for sharing your photos. How lucky to live so close to the show! I've never been able to stick to that advice to browse everything first and then buy. I try that at every bead show!

Now I know why they only do this once a year. It's going to take me an entire year to recover from all the money I spent and all the walking up and down those stairs! Do you hear that Suze? It's my wallet crying!

This is amazing! TWO floors of beads?????? wow...I am out of breath just looking and drooling over all the colors and miles of beads in these pics!! How did you have time to take pics when time was limited???? I'm looking forward to tomorrow's continued pics from the show! wow....how many pounds did you end up taking home?? They'd have to get as heavy as shopping at Marco's Papers at the shows!!

Suze...we should never go shopping together - we are too much alike! I have a hard time passing up things that "talk to my soul and make me happy". i just look at it that buying those things are cheaper than therapy!
I love your blog and all the great pictures with that "new" phone we talked about at CHA!
I would love to see some of your stamps - could be interested in those???
