Just take me any place that I can snap a picture and I'm a happy camper.
Just 10 minutes from our house is a lovely vineyard and I'd never been before.
yes...we have vineyards & wineries in New Jersey
I don't happen to drink (never developed a taste for it) but I did want to go on the wagon tour...
and I did want to see the Bat house
The winery constructed the bat house to specifications to draw bats to its location. And they came...about 1300 of them...they come out at night and eat tons of insects...about a hundred a minute..per bat!!
Don't fret...they are not interested in YOU !
I love the idea of writing on the wall.
Brides come to plan out their special day here (see her veil ??)
and there are always the gorgeous and interesting insects to photograph
his wings were going a mile a minute (below)
hope you can see the bee...he was huge and he wouldn't stop moving. That was as close as could get.
********
Alrighty...so..what else have I been doing
well..it was time to get back to jewelry making. I'd taken a break for a while.
I try to accomodate everyones taste...from the quirky to the more simple.

What an amazing time you have - love the art you created, and as for the shops..... Today I am off to one of the places you know in the UK - the Craft Barn in Lingfield - where I saw you a couple of years ago before you "retired"!! so I will be watching lots of amazing demonstrations... have a good weekend.

Hi Suze,
The entomologist in me has to tell you that you didn't take a picture of a bee. It was a hawk moth the adult most likely of some type of hornworm. The tomato hornworm, is the big green worm the chews up tomato plants. The moth wings move very fast and you got a great picture, but then, I've never known you to take a bad picture. Love your blog.
