What a wonderful holiday, glad to learn about it.

I do love the story of Ruth! (I read that Oprah was supposed to be named Orpah but someone switched the letters on her birth certificate. I'm not sure why someone would give a baby the name of the daughter-in-law who left Naomi and returned to her homeland.) My mother's elder sister was named Ruth, but I don't think it had anything to do with this story. :-) I do appreciate your posts about Judaism.

At our Temple last night, during the Shavout celebrations, we had a couple make a commitment to Judiasm. they had just completed their studies to convert. Very nice tie in to the Book of Ruth.

I don't recall The Story of Ruth movie. I will have to look for it. tfs & Chag Sameach!
