Aha...the day begins....9 am everyone rolls in.
what a fabulous group of people...Tim and I taught today and everyone enjoyed everything...that's always a good sign....Ranger products make people happy ! That makes US happy !
I see happy campers...don't you?
plus, I got to schmooze with some really old friends, like Cheryl Darrow from Ten Second Studios who I've known almost 20 years. I LOVE her products and she's a hoot !
and we did some really cool things today that you might want to try because they are simple and involve very little product yet render great results....
For example:
Tim showed everyone how to
1. spritz PERFECT INK REFRESHER on your craft sheet
2. sop up the refresher with a piece of plain ordinary brown cardstock, (it makes the paper very subtle)
3. crumple up the paper and apply perfect pearls to the crumpled part using your finger to rub it in.
It absolutely looked like leather when done.
and, how to use a variety of colors of ADIRONDACK embossing powders over a stamped image.
1. Stamp with Pigment Ink
2. Use your finger to sprinkle several colors of powder over the stamped image
3. Brush away excess powder and heat
and, another technique using the Holographic Embossing powder
1. Stamp with pigment ink
2. Sprinkle on Embossing powder
3. Heat image in stages. The hotter the powder gets the more it changes colors.
Then I taught a variety of UTEE techniques. One of them is called CRACKED GLASS
1. Dip heavy cardstock in the melting pot full of clear UTEE. if you have bubbles on the card when you remove it from the pot use your heat gun to break the bubbles.
2. Place the UTEE card in the frig to get cold
3. Remove it after a while and bend it to crack the UTEE.
4. Apply Walnut Distress Ink (or another favorite color) to the surface and rub it in the cracks for an aged look. Use a reinker or go direct from the pad to the UTEE surface...
When it came time to melt the UTEE BRIGHTZ everyone was ooohing and aahing after they poured them out of the pot....check this out....there's no secret. Just melt a bunch of colors, side by side and pour on the craft sheet. Cut it to shape using a cookie cutter.
At th end of class everyone mounted their finished pieces from my class on to a display board which Ranger U provided. And altho we all used the same artwork, everyones' boards were completely individual and different
Then we had a Bar-B-Q and socialized
and The Lenster came.
Here with my friend from Vienna, Sulie Girardi, and he helped grill
and then we said ta-ta until it all begins again, with Claudine and Tim tomorrow !
thx for posting!!!! love it!!!!
