Today was another of our monthly girl get togethers.
We formed a little group (about 10 of us) and dubbed ourselves the "Tiara Chronicles" and once a month we meet to make a project.
Today we met at our friend Linda Haholas fabulous farmhouse and the project for the day was bottle dolls guided by that darling of all faerie creatures Lisa Kettell.
Lisa had us pick a clean, empty bottle and showed us the process of adorning it. She also showed us how to make & paint the kewpie faces (which she hand makes & sells by the way - so contact her for pricing, etc)
Our gal Michelle has the MOST incredible eye for these things and we all oooh and aaahed over how hers came together and how she painstakingly painted hers with Claudines Studio Paints.
We all brought gems & jewels to contribute to a pile of stuff to choose from. Her choice of "spare parts" was amazing. Her doll was really beautiful.
I'm not sure what I'd call mine.....I redid her a few times because this was soooooo out of my comfort zone.
Here are some closeups....
The one on the left below is Pattis...she was the only one to paint the whole head gold.
Patti is extremely clever...a visit to her blog will also show you her latest Fiskars video showing a 3d Photo Collage.
On the right is Linda's 'nature girl'....shame you can't see all the detail in the skirt which was covered with moss.
And Joan giggled and laughed her whole way through making her doll especially after she goofed up the lips !!!
and then we have Lisas....the star of it all.
what a great day....it's too bad the full group couldn't make it today, but those of us that did had such a great time.
(from l-r) Patti, Joan, Lisa, Linda, Moi and Michelle.
We hope to "chronicle again" after the summer.
Not to be outdone....our gal Teresa Natividad from Ranger has a really way cool project on what to do with Frosted Memory Glass.
These gals are super...busy promoting techniques all the time.

I had sooooo much fun, I loved how everyone's bottle dolls came out, each had a personality of its own. I've just about finished my wine glass one today. I'll be blogging tomm.
