Rise up Suze...it's 5 A.M....kind of an ungodly hour...dark outside...weird. But...we have to go to breakfast before our day starts at class. Our hotel, The Bulls Head in Meriden is located in the center of England. How cool is that??!!
The hotel is so nice....they did us a special favor and prepared a lovely spread hours before they normally begin serving because they knew we had to be on the road early.
the students began lining up outside
our group of over 50 students for the first session (3 hours) and 50+ for the second session, another 3 hours with just a 1/2 hr break in between. Talk about 'on the go'
Our goal was to teach them to make this gorgeous frame.
the wonderful components are made with my Melt Art products, Claudines' Studio Line and Tims products too.
and, after an hour with me, Claudine came on and taught them how to use her STUDIO line of paints for her hour.
then Tim came on to show Distress and Alcohol Inks with his acrylic tiles
and the really neat part was that I got to actually participate in the class too and make my own frame...which I totally love.
and, as Alain (one of Rangers owners) began cleaning up
Tim, Claudine and I were signing frames and autographs for everyone..it was such a happy day !
Tomorrow the actual STITCHES show begins for the buyers...we'll be getting up nice and early again, but I can't wait to see the many familiar faces of my UK friends.
So...until tomorrow.....hopefully.
Thank you so much for updating !
I wish i could be there ,seems like you having a great time!
BTW great frame you made .
Greetings Miek Vugts

Great photos Suze. There are lots of people in them that we Brits recognise from TV. Looks like everyone was having a great time, and was realy attentive, I am so jealous.

Yes, Paula did a Palooza with me following my doing one with Tim at CHA. Paid dividends as it got everyone interested in the Fragments.
Suze, how do you manage to look so good at such an early hour. You really are one amazing woman and I loved watching you (remember my 60 odd bead bracelet at CHA?) when I was over at the trade show in Anaheim. I searched everywhere for one of those yellow pot holders but never found one. Still looking now I am back in the UK.
Love your blog - you always make me smile and feel happy.

Wow! It's easy to see you and tim and claudia are having as much fun as the people in the class. It's so nice of you to share so many great pictures for the rest of us!

My daughter has a few of those mirrors under her bed collecting dust, I need to snag them. I hope to some day meet you here in New Jersey before I move this summer.

Looks like you all had an amazing day playing with all your products. Did a workshop with a lady called Neet who you saw @ CHA. She calls the frames once decorated a 'Palooza'. We worked with Tim's acrylic tiles & paints to produce our own mini masterpieces. The frames we used came from IKEA & are around 99p each.
After attending your brilliant (see what i did there...) class i can now see how to incorporate all i learnt & to create something even more outstanding.
Have a good rest, enjoy your food & enjoy your day tomorrow :-)
