outside the rain is pouring so hard and the wind is blowing like crazy. In fact, it was so bad that the electricity went out at my house for several hours. But, we are tucked away, nice and cozy at RANGER 'U'.
*******
another Jersey energy breakfast (just kidding folks !)
and then,
it's Claudines turn at bat
and, if you haven't tried these luscious paints you R really missing something. The secret to extending the working life of these paints is Claudines new product called "EXTRA TIME".
each table gets a boat load of supplies to have on hand for their projects
This class just jumped right in...Margie is aghast at the fabulous stuff she's making !!!! LOL
Jill and Taylor are taking it all v-e-r-y seriously !!!
Alexandra gets it just right !
Everyone gets nice and dirty...the way it should be !
Claudine helps out the students on a 1 to 1 basis
they learn to paint a transparent wash
how to mix paints with the "Extra Time" on the craft sheet, then brayer them onto a rubber stamp
and stamp onto the sticky back canvas
taking one of Tims masks
touching it to your t shirt to help remove some of the stickiness, then, placing it down on the STICKY SIDE of the sticky back canvas. Yes...you are placing it on the the wrong side of the canvas....
then, you sprinkle on whatever embossing powders you like and they stick to the remaining canvas
use several colors if you want to
then, lift off the mask and heat emboss the powders
you can even fill in the mask area (which is still sticky) with other colors of embossing powder. CLAUDINE THOUGHT THIS UP ! What a great way to use her sticky back canvas.
Claudine showed us how to do transfers, also using the sticky side of the canvas
and that you can stitch these strong canvas pieces together
she brought lots of other samples too
and everyone got a color chart showing how to make 51 secondary colors from the basic 15.
then the class was let loose to create a project on their own...a wooden carryall to keep their tags in.
I love your blow by blow shots. More great techniques I'm going to work on.
