was another slam bang fabulous day
how is it possible to have so much fun with friends day after day...well...if you are with the wacked out waxy art girls...it's definitely possible!
first we went to the 17th Avenue Artist Studios tour
...so many cool artists.
BUT...ya gotta meet one of my favs....FANNE FERNOW
not only is she a brilliant encaustic wax artist but a very fun person who I met for the first time last year...SHE IS THE LADY WHO MAKES THAT MOST TERRIFIC...far be it the BEST.... WAX MEDIUM that I use in class. You all need it....and here is her link. Just go buy it ! I said so ! Go already.
Here is an encaustic piece from Fanne
today was also her birthday....we brought her vanilla BEE (cause she does beeswax, get it ? ) cupcakes.. Yummy scrumptious ! Share them Fanne...share them !
moooooving right along thru the gallery
Bonnie Minardi's work
and some of my personal favorites by Roberta Lee Woods who also does encaustic wax
and, jewelry too
Roberta, me and Wendy. Don'cha worry Roberta...one day we'll UTEE together ! I know you're waiting.
Fabulous...amazing..to die for glass work from Blaker-Desomma studio...bought a piece.
Gwen is a paper maker....my word..!
Heejin from Korea, creates art using lots of different mediums
I just loved the quirkiness of Jean Beebe's paintings
Then we zipped over to the Pajara Valley gallery
where Wendy had a piece on exhibit
ended at Annie Glass....I gotta hand over my credit cards to someone. I'm outta control...everything is so amazing
now...you ask...was that it..just art, art and more art...Visa, Master Card & Amex
NAH..in the evening..we went to a birthday party for Wendy
a hilarious, riotous evening so full of laughing at her younger brothers house. Plus....wow...I made 2 new FaceBook friends
and drooled over the IPad again
so, listen Kasey Heil my talented new friend......as with everything in life...there's an APP for that !
Too fun! And thanks for the site info to order the wax. This will make it so much easier!

Wow! I can't believe I've never done the 17th Ave. Artist Tour, and I LIVE HERE! You've inspired me! (but I HAVE been to Annie Glass, and I LOVE her work!)
Glad you had a good time here, and really glad that it didn't rain on you.... as this has been an unseasonably cool May! (and the rain comes back on Tues.... sigh...)
