today Wendy, Judy and I took a LIMO....yes, a LIMO, from the Santa Cruz area to San Francisco...ohlala...such luxury..and...a fancy schmancy limo at that
first we went to The California Academy of Sciences
which was the coolest place ever....oh yes...ever ! who knew...
who knew it was gonna be this exceptional...all those great exhibits. I'm a sucker for dinosaurs...anytime...any place. Show me a dino...I'm there !
and the fish, the birds, the butterflies
and the undersea coral & plant life...this snap turned out to be one of my favorites.... looks like a watercolor painting
and check these out...mind you...1/2 of the photos I shot today were behind display glass or in the water....not me in the water...the fish & plant life....making it not all that easy to get a good closeup....but I did it !!!
I was on such as camera high ! Since there are so many more I've done another MobileMe slideshow if you want to see more.
Then the limo took us a few blocks over to the Contemporary Jewish Museum.
We were not free to take many pictures there but one of the exhibits simply took our breath away.
These are but 4 samples of the 600 altered pages done by various people, some who have no art background what-so-ever, for a project by Linda Ellia called Notre Combat. This overwhelming project absolutely brought tears to your eyes. I bought the book highlighting all 600 pages.
Here are some other highlights from our day
crazy fun in the limo
passing the pretty California coastline
It'll be Wendys birthday tomorrow so....hence...the roses and the balloons and the craziness....
recently found your blog Suze ...and I LOVE it now one of my faves...always insipration and always a laugh...thank you!!!
