Yes...this is LES...my brother...(okay, he's the younger one AND he's a doctor ) you met him in one of my blogs from a few months ago when he came out to visit and we took the 'old home tour' back in Brooklyn. That was a hilarious fun day. Now I'm in HIS area and today I got him to schlep me around !!
Pretzels at the mall with my favorite, most wonderful S-I-L Martha (nickname Muffie)
then...whenever I visit I always LOVE to visit Les' mother in law... Muffies mom, Grandma Bev...who is a gorgeous lady, now 92...bless her beautiful soul. She is still as sharp as a tack and, look...we must have planned the matching outfits & jewelry!!
then I continued to schlep the family around as I found stuff to get excited over .....like this fuzzy glove statement. When people ask me about the green nails I just claim to be Fiona in Shrek ! Don't get too excited...I did NOT buy the silly gloves.
but don't you LOVE "Hello Kitty"...I do..
and I can tell you - unequivocally - I am mad for luggage stores..well you already knew that.....it's got to be that container syndrome....IMPORTANT NOTE: if The Lenster is reading..no worries..I left it all there !!
Back at Les' house the squirrel was relaxing and contemplating the weather
and Muffie and I skyped Jen and Jared back home
then they drove me to Center Street in Soquel and we schlepped through the antique stores which I LOVED !
after a great late lunch at Gayles deli and bakery they brought me back to Wendys
and Wendy and I decided to stay in and chill for the rest of the day with some pizza and TV ...like sisters...OR...two very strange adults
Mine had mushrooms...hers had ....AHEM.....apples, chicken, bacon, cheese, onions and Bar-B-Q sauce...and NO tomato sauce. ATTENTION ALL PIZZA LOVERS OUTSIDE OF THE NEW YORK AREA...REAL pizza does NOT have all that crap on it. What is UP with all that stuff on a pizza.....GROSS !!!!
Okay Wendy...you can stop defending your pizza. I'm never buying into it. well...its her birthday...she can eat all the gross stuff she wants today.
(Wendy will be doing the anti blog after she reads this !)
xxxxooooo
How wonderful to see you enjoying my part of the country. Sometimes we don't appreciate how beautiful it is until we see it through someone else's eyes. One word of caution, however. Whatever you do, don't order pastrami; they make it with mayo, lettuce and tomato. Yuck. It's almost impossible to find kosher even.

Wendy you GO GIRL! That is what B-Days are for! Fabulous time with friends and carbs! Happy Birthday!!! I LOVE the gloves...Paula is right, shoulda got them dahlink! GREAT to see, as always, through your lens the captured day and the greatness of just time spent with loved ones. Muffie's mama is BEAUTIFUL! What a testament to us all, we should all be so lucky. She looks like a gem! Glad you spent time with those that care and love you and share in your smile and laughter. We are gracious that you allow us all the moments that have slipped into your days and come to us all, regardless of distance or miles. Indeed, we all enjoy your "shine."
