when you're having an insanely good time.....
and so...it was off in the direction of the beaches where we had to use a paintbrush to get all the sand out from between our toes! That was a good laugh. Only an artist would have a handy dandy toe paintbrush in their car!!
then on to the Monterey Bay Aquarium for lunch . No no...we didn't eat the turtles, that's just for reference...
and to see the seals & sea otters.
and all the other amazing fish...
like the jellyfish.
Sometimes I shock myself when I see what cool shots I'm able to take....these below, especially.
then we were baaaaad girls......A LOOOOONG stop to shop in little Pacific Grove where we happened upon a new favorite store. TESSUTI ZOO
Go there at once if you live in the area...holy smokes..it is the single most whimsical, kooky shop ever. What..??....you fail to believe me....check this out
need a pet purse?? A frog...or a chicken perhaps
ok...they finally got me out of the Zoo store...I fought tooth and nail
and then on to the charming town of Carmel.
Hat no....sushi socks, yes !
and...what can you ever say about the flowers in sunny California.....
Damn.......one weeks vacation just flew by.
**************
So Now.......a word from our sponsor......
1. Buy yourself a piece of inspiration with Daniella Woolfs new Encaustic book.
again...not a 'how-to'....but, (like Tims book), one with inspiring pieces of work done with wax.
2. Start working with wonderful encaustic wax MEDIUM. Order a few pounds from Clairvoyant Encaustics. For orders of 5 pounds & over its now only $16.50 a pound. I always get 5 lbs at a time.
3. Take a class from WaxWorksWest and learn why I LOVE beeswax so much....not to mention Wendy, Judy & Daniella !!!
xxxxxxooooo to you my dear friends. Thanks for a fabulous visit.
