Aaaahhh....despite the humidity, the sun came out, as it hit a high of 80 degrees today. A perfect day to drive into NYC
for the annual Memorial Day weekend Washington Square Art festival.
it is held right near NYU and in the heart of Greenwich Village.
surrounded by lovely townhouses
The famous Washington Square Arch
and lots of wonderful vendor art
My $6 hat purchase to keep the sun off my head !!!
and the original artist renderings screenprinted onto T shirts....I got The Lenster the navy one with the famous Flatiron Building
a quick stop for crepes, for lunch
and, right before we left for the day I got to sit at a booth for a make-it, take it demo...monoprinting using a copper plate.
never did this before. Discovered using an empty water bottle created cool circles on my abstract print.
