well...I know Thanksgiving was yesterday but I came out to Santa Cruz CA area with The Lenster to celebrate it a few days later with family and friends. So....I'm giving thanks for this whole week in beautiful sunny northern Calli.
Today we spent the day with my brother Les and SIL Muffie (ok..in case you have a need to know...I'M older..2 years !)
we went to see the Monarch butterflies at Natural Bridges State Park. The park's Monarch Grove provides a temporary home for up to 100,000 Monarchs each winter. From roughly mid-October through mid-February, the Monarchs form a "city in the trees."
These may look like leaves but they're butterflies.
Lunch at Aldos Harbor Restaurant on the water. Known for its Eggs Benedict, calamari, fresh salmon, and exquisite ocean view, the restaurant is open 7 days a week.
we spotted the sweetest dogs there...
Then, on to see the natural bridges. This beach, with its famous natural bridge, is an excellent vantage point for viewing shore birds, migrating whales, and seals and otters playing offshore.
on to the wharf in Santa Cruz for the view of the pier and the sea otters
and the gulls...like this one, who I swear is dancing !!
and...for the touch of art...who can beat this???
************
now...if you need something nice for the holidays...hope on over to my ETSY site
I miss seeing you there !!!
hope you enjoy a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration in the lovely sunshine of Santa Cruz. You always show through your blog how much you do appreciate and make the most of your life. I'm thankful that you share it with us and the rest of the world.
