It was a cooooold day here in Jersey...we had snow last night..not much of it but enough to cause icicles...
but that didn't stop The Lenster and me from jumpin' in the car and taking a ride an hour west of us. It's Super Bowl Sunday and quite honestly neither of us are into it. I'm so happy I'm not maried to a sports nut !

We stopped at Stockton Market to sample all the goodies
Yes...they encourage you to sample, like, everything !
this kind of reminded me of the spice markets in Egypt
you can buy everything from flowers to sheepskin
I bought my favorite Japanese tea..Genmaicha
but the market also had jewelry and home decor

Driving a little further west we come to fabulous Frenchtown, located on the banks of The Delaware River.
One of the reasons Frenchtown is somewhat 'famous' is because it is the home of Two Buttons...an eclectic shop owned by Elizabeth Gilbert, author of Eat, Pray, Love. The Lenster and I went to their grand opening several years ago. Right now it's closed. They are traveling to buy more goods. They have a 6,000 sq foot store.
**************
BUT...what IS open in Frenchtown is another really exciting shop called
owned by husband & wife Jill Paul and Russell Hoge this shop is a treasure trove of art
MY KIND OF ART !!!
they have a Facebook Page...go LIKE them...I surely did !
The colorful and surrealistic art in many of the pictures is from artist Evgeni Gordiets and he is heavily featured in this beautiful shop.
we really enjoyed meeting Russell and spending a long time talking with him.
see....we even bought something !!!

Then, as we headed home, we passed through the state capitol of Trenton.
Being Sunday it was a ghost town...(well, that could also be the Super Bowls fault)...so..it was a chance to snap some architecture
January and February are bitter cold months here, but, there's always something fun to do !
Wow I adore that art shop, love kneeing down statue and the blue vase and the paintings with it. What did you buy Suze?
