well, if you thought blogging the Russia trip was hard...Oy Vey...
you haven't done a Bead & Button show !
I don't even know WHERE to start because this was my firt time at this show and it was OVERWHELMING to say the very least!
I thought BeadFest, Philly was a big to do....(and it is, of course), but this was...a BIGGER To Do !!
So...my hugest apologies for not always remembering whose beads come from whom cause I was too busy just standing there with my mouth hanging open !
But, I will tell you who I fell absolutely madly in love with...
Christi Anderson from Elemental Ornaments...OMG...Her work with silver blew my mind
and, of course, Hooking up with besties like Julianna Hudgins and Cheryl Darrow made the trip a whirlwind of fun..and we did some major laughing.
Cheryl and I learned how to use the JIG at a Make It Take and made these bracelets.
The JIG can make a bunch of interesting designs
I had a small leftover piece of beaded wire...and you know my nutty sense of humor..Here's the start of a old/new trend !!
Okay...laugh time over...
The JIG was developed by Brenda Schweder...who I'm sure did NOT have nose rings in mind when she invented it !!! LOL

Found the wonderful Jess at Vintaj...I LOVE her you know..
I can stand and watch her demonstrate her patina technique and never ever get bored or tired.
I tried my hand at a Chain Maille Make it Take it...OK..I would need a LOT of practice and patience !
Watched this adorable young man stringing teeny tiny beads
Could NOT resist stopping at Stuart Abelmans glass booth and checking out his hand blown glass hummingbird feeders...
bought one...
His work is undeniably magnificent
