When Margot Potter (the Impatient Crafter, jewelry designer extraordinaire) introduced me to these cute little tags at an 'Impress Me' demo at CHA I was fascinated right from the start.
All she did was metal stamp into the tag using Impress Art metal stamping kits, texture it with a hammer and bend it with the 'Impress Me Bracelet Bending Pliers' and voila....
ready to wear (with or without a texture) !!!
(B'Shert: Hebrew for 'meant to be', 'fated')
Margot showed me that she likes to use simple, inexpensive, craft store Folk Art black enamel paint
which she then wipes off. It stays put in the indented letters. I used nail polish remover for any paint that stayed where it shouldn't.
So I did up a batch at a time
I found a connector in my stash of items I bought long ago on a trip to Amsterdam
It required just a little tiny bend because it was delicate and could easily break in half
I cut some chain to attach and bingo...I had the most wonderful, unusual bracelet
I used a magnetic clasp to make it easy to get on and off without assistance
I LOVE IT
AND
I'm keeping it !!!
so simple...and a lot of fun !!
